Fish and Wildlife goes digital: Big game hunt applications now online
NAVAJO NATION — Navajo Nation Department of Fish and Wildlife has announced that the 2023/2024 big game hunt application will be available exclusively online. From 9 a.m. on May 1 to 11:59 p.m. June 16, the electronic application will be accessible at www.navajodraw.com and can only be submitted online.
The move to digital services is part of the department’s efforts to make their services more accessible and convenient. Hunters will no longer need to travel to Window Rock to submit paper applications. However, for those who lack internet access or require assistance with the application process, NNDFW staff will conduct outreach across Navajo Nation-wide on May 4-6, May 18-20, June 1-3 and June 15-16.
The online application requires an email address for each applicant and payment by credit/debit card, with money orders and cashier’s checks no longer accepted. Hunters who fall under certain classifications such as Navajo Senior Citizens, Navajo Veterans, Non-Navajo Spouses, and Navajo Mobility Impaired individuals need to verify their classification and submit supporting documentation before June 16, 2023.
For further information, contact NNDFW at (928) 871-6450 or email hunt@nndfw.org.
