Hopi Domestic Violence Program to host conference at Twin Arrows May 16-17
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — The Hopi Domestic Violence Program has announced their upcoming 3rd annual Domestic Violence Conference set to take place at the Twin Arrows Navajo Casino & Resort near Flagstaff, May 16 – 17.
This year’s theme is “Together, We Stand against DV”.
The conference will feature a variety of presentations, including Domestic Violence 101, victims’ rights, cultural perspectives and victim/perpetrator panels and discussions on the effects of domestic violence on children.
Additionally, topics like domestic violence in the LGBTQ+ community will also be addressed.
The event is free, but registration is required. Interested individuals can register by contacting the Hopi Domestic Violence Program at (928) 738 – 1115 or 1116 or by emailing Lwerito@hopi.nsn.us.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals to learn about domestic violence and how they can support those affected by it.
